Inspired with a vision to share their faith and the love of Jesus with the community of West Point and surrounding areas, Pastors Bill and Andrea Smith and their family bring with them the exuberance of contemporary worship music; the uncompromised truth of God's written word, the Bible; the hope that Jesus will touch many lives--bringing His love, joy and peace; and hearts to see people in need ministered to spiritually, physically, emotionally and economically.
The essential element in seeing this dream realized is Prayer--the Heartbeat of Morning Star. "If we do our part, we know that God will do the rest", say Pastors Bill and Andrea.
We want you to feel at home here, so wear what's most comfortable for you. Dress up or dress down - whatever you like. Complete the guest information card; it's our way of getting to know you a little better. Yes, we'll use the info to connect with you later on (don't worry . . . we won't show up at your door!), so complete as much information as you feel comfortable giving. Please put it in the offering basket as it comes by. Enjoy the service.
We work hard to prepare services that honor God. Our desire is for everyone to feel the freedom to worship however they are comfortable doing so. Some of our music is lively and energetic, so feel free to clap and sing right along with us. Some of it is deeply soulful, and you'll notice lots of folks with their hands raised in worship. Do what comes naturally for you, whether you're highly expressive, quietly reflective, or somewhere in between.
We think you'll enjoy Pastor Bill's easy-going, down-to-earth teaching style, and we're confident you'll come away with valuable insights into how the truths of the Bible relate to life in today's world. With the help of the Holy Spirit, our goal is to help shape Sunday morning experiences that can be enjoyed by a broad range of people - those who have a relationship with God and those who don't, regular attenders and visitors, and people from all kinds of church backgrounds. Morning Star Christian Fellowship meets every Sunday for morning services at 10:00 a.m. at 299 Main Street, West Point, CA. After Praise and Worship Service, Children's Church meets for a Christ-oriented teaching with crafts, and fun activities. Pastor Andrea Smith and Vanessa facilitate the weekly lesson, combined with Bible Study and group discussions. This comfortable, casual, and fun format encourages children to learn about the Gospel in a loving, friendly, non-hostile environment.
For adults, the Sermon, Testimony and Fellowship follow Praise and Worship. Morning Star is a spirit-filled, Bible based church that believes in the Gifts of the Spirit, the Fruits of the Spirit, and the Keys to the Kingdom principles. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call.
