MINISTRIES
The heart of Morning Star has always been to reach out with the love of Jesus to the community. In light of this, Morning Star Christian Fellowship has maintained a Food Closet to help others in our community. If you would like to donate canned foods, packaged goods or clothing for the church food closet, please contact Pastor Andrea Smith at 209-293-7799. If you have perishable food items to donate, these can be arranged to be picked up or dropped off at the church. Morning Star thanks you in advance for your giving hearts.
Throughout the year, Morning Star hosts lunches and dinners to help feed those struggling financially or those between jobs. These meals are always free at the church. On holidays, Morning Star often 'adopts' needy families and surprises them with food baskets to ease the stress of holidays. These outreaches will be announced in a timely manner in the Gold Country Times, a local community newspaper whose Editor makes Morning Star CF her church home.
PRAYER
We believe in the power of prayer, and we're committed to making the discipline of prayer a priority in the life of our church, as a whole, as well as in the lives of individuals. We are dedicated to identifying and developing those among us who are gifted in prayer (intercessors). We are continuously praying for the surrounding communities of Railroad Flat and Wilseyville. Local and Global mission are part of the heartbeat of Morning Star CF Church. As the churches in West Point are of one heart in that we pray for our community, we also pray for each church and keep them lifted up in prayer.
Prayer ministry includes a regular mid-week Intercessory Prayer Home Group on Thursday evenings. We want to support you by going to the Father and agreeing with you in prayer for your needs. Please tell us how we can pray for you. All requests are kept in strict confidence.
