PASTOR'S CORNER
From the beginning of time, people have offered to do something, make something, or give something to God that they value. Most of the time He has responded by giving them His preferred gifts or plans for the future-plans that seemed to start where their resources ended and His resources began. Has this ever happened to you?
It happened to Moses, who thought he would deliver Israel with a fatal blow, but was sent back to the task armed only with a shepherd's rod and the glory of a personal encounter with God. It also happened to Peter, who offered Jesus the strength of his strong will and clear leadership abilities, but was sent back to the task armed with a gentle reminder of his greatest failure and a triple exhortation to feed the Lord's sheep.
It is better to seek the heart of God first and find out what He wants than to make blind assumptions and offer Him something He has never asked for. What does this mean in practical terms? Could it mean we should structure our services around the one thing God the Father actively seeks in the earth (worship in spirit and in truth) rather than around those things that most minister to us? Has God asked you to do something you know you cannot do in your own strength?
Praise and worship Him. You may be in line for a harvest of divine glory. Are you facing circumstances for His name that absolutely require a miracle? Does it appear that everything will collapse unless God shows up? Rejoice! It appears that you have entered miracle territory. Worship Him until His presence comes (and watch what happens to the weight of circumstances on your shoulders).
Keep your eyes on Father God. Thank Him for giving you peace that passes all understanding. This is the time, the perfect opportunity to put all your trust in Him. Worship the Lord, and find complete peace and rest in His presence.
